Aakarshit Gomel the Indian Under 19 World Cup Squad member and Air India player leads Purton to a convincing win. The Purton overseas pro almost single handed put Bradford to the sword with a telling bowling performance of 12 overs 1 for 23, an outstanding boundary catch and a classy responsible undefeated knock of 82 to lead Purton to victory. Earlier Bradford chose to bat and made 162 for 9, a score well below par on one of the best batting tracks in the Surridge Wiltshire Divison One, the only highlights for Bradford on Avon being Nick Gerrish's half century and a gritty undefeated knock from Nick Coles. Purton fielded and bowled well as a unit and took their catches. After tea it was the Gomel show, the young Indian prodigy displaying his outstanding  batting talent with some fluent strokes and well managed innings and despite using  8 bowlers,the best of which was Dean Bird, a consolation wicket for paceman Kegan Smart which bodes well for the remaining fixtures and a promising debut from experienced allrounder Carl Clarke, Purton finished the game off in 31.1 overs.
