Wicket keeper Batsman Pinchen Leads Bradford on Avon to victory with a match winning 68,two catches and a stumping.

Bradford on Avon won the toss and decided to bat on a blistering hot day with conditions looking favourable to bat first and with openers Ian Pinchen(68) & James Edwards (33) posting an opening partnership of 92 by the 20th over the decision was vindicated. James Pike elevated in the order then demolished the Malmesbury bowling with a quick fire 32 in a 60 run partnership with Pinchen to add more impetus to the visiting side.Malmesbury then fought back as a mini collapse unfolded with Bradford losing five quick wickets in 6 overs. Bradford then rallied again with debutant Rory Trevest & Matthew Harrington leading Bradford to the 200 mark with the visitors closing the innings at 207 for 8 a score well below par from where Bradford would have been happy. Malmesbury were then restricted by some excellent bowling by an injured Matthew Harrington ( 4-19),Dean Bird (1-46) opening the bowling with spin and support from Nick Coles,Rory Trevest and paceman Nick Gerrish finishing with (3-19) to conclude an excellent result for Bradford on Avon who defeated Malmesbury by 39 runs thanks to excellent fielding by the team, and in particular Nick Coles who was outstanding in the field and who also produced a crucial run out of the fluent Gillespie which was pivotal in Bradford's eventual victory by 39 runs.
