Bradford on Avon won the toss and inserted Spye Park. Opening bowlers Matthew Harrington 3-13 and Tony Laws 5-46 including a career first hat-trick and Rufus Lakin vindicated the Captains decision to bowl first and aided by a polished fielding display from all of the team dismissed Spye Park for 67 in 26.1 overs. Openers James Edwards(22) and Ian Pinchen(38 not out) posted a fifty partnership in the ninth over and despite losing Edwards in the eleventh over Bradford raced home to an early victory in the 16th over to gain a valuable 24 points.
