Shock Defeat to Melksham & Beanacre

Inserted into bat Bradford opening batsman Edwards & Pinchen put on 50 for the first wicket by the 14th over.Pinchen departed for a well played 35.Beale departed LBW to Hemmings in the next over which brought Gerrish to the crease who batted with ease for a well struck 30,however Bradford lost a couple of quick wickets with first Travers and the Laws departing in quick succession. Burrows and Harrington staged a recovery to help Bradford to a closing score of 147 all out All of the Melksham & Beanacre bowlers stuck to their task with Ben Brown taking the bowling honours with 5 for 34. After tea the home side set about the Bradford on Avon bowling and raced away to the finishing line with P.Gilbert(69)and M.Wiltshire 59 not out playing a full range of strokes leaving Bradford on Avon out played and licking a few wounds. Kit Chapman picked up a consolation wicket in the closing stages but Bradford on Avon were out played in another shock defeat.
