With support from the ECB ‘Inspired to Play’ grant scheme, Bradford on Avon cricket club are keen to create a Women’s cricket team for 2021. To do this we are able to offer six ‘free taster sessions’ delivered by qualified coaches from our friends at GP Cricket running on Wednesday evenings from 9th June. This will also be advertised through the ECB’s ‘Women’s Big Cricket Month’ initiative running throughout June.
The sessions will provide a fun introduction to cricket alongside other sport-loving Ladies and through the weeks introduce the skills blended with game play. We hope this will lead to playing a number of friendly fixtures against other local Women’s teams in July and August. Ultimately, our aim would be to see the creation of a Women’s team forming a player pathway from u11s girls cricket up through the age groups to Women’s cricket.
Aimed at: Ladies aged 13 and over (no upper age limits!)
When: Wednesdays from 9h June
Time: 6:30pm for 90 mins
