Match report In the last friendly before the league season starts for the 2s, Marshfield won the toss and chose to bat first. A good start from the hosts saw them go 141-2, with J Howarth hitting a very good 69 on debut for Marshfield, and opener M Dickson making a well made 46. Bradford fought back in the form of K Moss who took 5-26 including a first hat-trick for the club. The wickets kept falling and Marshfield were eventually bowled out for 172.
After a heavy rain shower the Bradford innings started on a soggy pitch, and never really got going. The only highlight of a 108 run innings was a 51 run partnership between captain J Moss (41) and 14-year-old youth prospect L Farion (19).
The 2s hope for a better result next time out in their first league match.
