Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Won by 34 runs

Match report A good win for Bradford was delayed by rain and reduced to 39 overs a side. After being asked to bat by Hinton Charterhouse, Bradford lost an early wicket which brought Lewis Green to the crease to join James Pike. Some big blows follwed by both men with Pike making 38 and 14-yerar-old Green top scoring with 40. The big hitting continued, however wickets continued to fall and Bradford were bowled out for 172 in only 32.1 overs.
In reply, young Matt Henley got Bradford off to a great start with 3 early wickets and Dan tadman with another reducing Hinton to 23-4. A mixture of tight bowling and excellent fielding throughout the team reduced Hinton to 78-7, with Seb Dyer taking 2 good catches. A good knock from M Gordon (37) and some late hitting by E Griffith (33) threatened to take Hinton home, however another burst from Tadman and Henley took the final wickets needed for the win.
Great signs for the future for Bradford with the top run scorerer and wicket taker being youth products, big things expected from these two!
