Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Won By 62 Runs

Match report Bradford on Avon's season got off to a winning start on Saturday. Batting first, Bradford amassed 242-5, declaring 4 balls before tea due to a thunder & lightning storm overhead. Main contributions coming from captain Matthew Harrington (74) and James Edwards (52), both retiring not out. Bathford's reply was bright early on, but were pegged back by Dave Carter who returned good figures of 9-4-20-2. There was also some good spells of bowling from youngsters Dan Tadman and Matt Henley - both showing some early season promise.
Bradford's fielding was rusty and much work is to be done this week to get them ready in time for Saturdays games - 1s home to Swindon Nalgo in the league with the 2s playing away at Marshfield 3s in a friendly.
