Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Won By 62 Runs

Match report Bradford on Avon lost the toss and batted first. Bradford started brightly but were 3 wickets down for 50 runs after 14 overs with Pinchen (15), Harrington (17) and Goodall (2) back in the hutch. A solid 4th wicket partnership of 61 was dominated by Danny Clarkson who made a swift 40. Simon Richards continued the good work alongside Craig Brennan and together they shared a 53 run partnership when Brennan departed for 26. Richards brought up his 50 and guided the visitors to a score of 210 for 8 from 45 overs. Richards making an excellent 65.
In reply, the Potterne openers were soon dismissed, captain Jordi Rose run out by Clarkson for a duck and Paul Clark dismissed lbw for 2. The Bradford bowling was extremely tight, aided by some good ground fielding. Wickets continued to fall and at the half way point the hosts were 65-5. John Bramwell was the key to the innings and when he was dismissed in the same over as Down (47 and 20 respectively) off the bowling of David Carter (8-21-3), Bradford were coasting to victory. Victory was sealed by 2 wickets from Goodall and one from Fox.
An excellent team performance in the field which supported a fine bowling display.
