Goatacre v Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Friendly Eleven on Sat 18 Apr 2015 at 13:30
Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Lost by 88 Runs
Match report
Bradford on Avon bowled and fielded well in the first half of the innings restricting Goatacre to 68 from their first 20 overs. A flurry of runs and wickets followed. Manoji Parera impressed with the ball taking 2 wickets and produced a tidy spell of bowling. Rufus Lakin's welcome return to BOA colours saw him put in a now trademark aggressive spell of bowling taking 2 wickets in the process. All bowlers were backed up throughout by some sharp fielding. Left BOA with a chasable target of 188 runs to win. However Another Disappointing display with the bat proved BOA's downfall. Losing Graham Long to his first ball meant BOA were on the back foot from the off. Skipper Tony Burrows put up a fight on his way to 42 however with only Darren Jones joining Burrows in to double figures the writing was on the wall with BOA slumping to a disappointing 99 all out.
