Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Lost By 6 Wickets

Match report A bad day at the office for Bradford on Avon. Poor application with the bat throughout the home sides innings against some tight, but not threatening bowling meant that Bradford could only make 79 all out in 33 overs. This all came after a 55 minute delay to the start of the match as most of the opposition players were held up after a fire on the M4. Whether this contributed to the woeful batting display or not, who knows. Pick of the Bradford batting was Rufus Lakin who stuck at the task well, taking 70 balls for his 18 runs. Only Kit Chapman with 19 and Adam Cooksey with 18 reached double figures.
Swindon Civil Service's simple run chase was made hard work by Kit Chapman. Taking 3 wickets in his first two overs, along with 2 dropped catches in Matthew Harrington's second over meant the chase started poorly. At 14-4 from 8 overs, Bradford were sensing miracles.... However a solid 6th wicket partnership between Tahir Hanif and Scott McNeill guided the away side home. Kit Chapman taking 4-22 from 8 very good overs.
