Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Won By 140 Runs
Match report
Bradford on Avon were inserted to bat after losing the toss. Starting slowly, openers Ian Pinchen and Matthew Harrington put on 47 for the first wicket. This brought the in form Paul Vooght to the crease and he and Pinchen shared a 67 run partnership before Pinchen departed for a well made 60. Kit Chapman was elevated up the batting order to provide some hitting power, which he did superbly hitting 43 off 25 balls, including 5 sixes and 1 four. Together they put on 93 runs. Vooght was to finish 95 not out, just 5 short of another century with Bradford amassing 234 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
In reply, Nationwide's openers Pettifer and Harris also put on a solid first wicket stand, this time 45 runs in 16 overs. However once Harris departed, the home side lost 6 wickets for 24 runs, 4 falling to captain Matthew Harrington who took 4-15 from his 12 overs and two to debutant Tom Lacey who picked up 2-11 from his 7. The game was wrapped up shortly after with Tony Laws taking 3-12 from 5 and Matt Knight grabbing the final wicket to seal a comfortably 140 run victory. With 4 games left of the season, there is all to play for throughout the division 1 table.
