Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Won By 5 Wickets

Match report Bradford on Avon inserted Beanacre & Melksham to bat first at Melksham House. Some wayward bowling early on meant the home side got off to a flying start but the bowling of David Carter and Matt Knight was the control that Bradford were after. Carter captured 3 top order wickets for the cost of 30 runs and Knight returned impressive figures of 12-5-26-3. Pick of the Beanacre batting was Courtney Earl with 52. James Edwards mopped up the tail with 3-12 from 5.3 overs.
In reply the Bradford innings faltered with openers Ian Pinchen (10) and James Edwards (8) falling early on. Paul Vooght started rebuilding with Simon Richards but Vooght fell for 19. Matthew Harrington joined Richards and the pair put on 106 for the 4th wicket. Harrington fell near the end for 26 but Richards was there at the end to seal the Bradford victory making an excellent 78* from 115 balls, his maiden club 50.
