Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Lost By 85 runs

Match report Bradford on Avon fell to a disappointing defeat at home to local rivals Box. Batting first Box amassed 214 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets from their 45 overs. Jonny Page with a well made 80 and Steve Hall with 53 not out led the way. Bradford's bowlers lacked discipline throughout, pick of the bowling was spinner Dean Bird with 1-37 from 10 overs.
In reply, Bradford's openers put on 40 runs but the scoreboard pressure, in addition to Box's tight bowling display, meant Bradford were always behind the rate. At no point during the reply were Bradford able to exert any pressure back onto the bowling attack. Pick of the batsman were Ian Pinchen with 54 from 108 balls, and an aggressive 22 from Tony Laws.
Bradford head to unbeaten league leaders Royal Wootton Bassett next week.
