Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Lost By 4 Wickets

Match report Bradford on Avon fell to a second successive defeat on Saturday. Batting first, Bradford made heavy work of scoring early on. Contributions of 16 from Ian Pinchen and 36 from Matthew Harrington put the home side into a solid position before a welcome return to form from James Edwards with 54* and contributions of 14 Jon Moss, 9 Tony Laws and a cameo 14* from Rich Fuller got Bradford to a respectable 171-5 from 45 overs.
Had catches been taking during the Hinton reply, the result may have been different. The innings was held together by the in form Chris Antrobus with 85 but he was dropped at least 3 times. Debutant David Carter bowled well with not much luck, and was supported well by Kit Chapman 2-34 and Matt Knight 2-35. However it was Hinton who took the victory thanks to Barry Maggs aggressive 39* at the end of the innings.
Bradford need to get on a winning run next week when they host Beanacre & Melksham CC.
