Bradford on Avon Cricket Club Lost By Two Wickets

Match report The home side lost the toss and were inserted into bat,Borton(4-49)& Jacob(2-52)made good use of the new ball & were assisted by some good catches. Bradford were 82 for 4 after losing Chris Thompson(35) just after the drinks break. Nick Gerrish(84) & Tony Laws(38) took the sword to the Hinton bowlers in an excellent partnership of 98 for the fifth wicket which provided the back bone of the home side's total of 215 for 8. Bradford gained early succcess in the third over with Sadgrove LBW to Mishak Belfon(3-48),however a partnership from Jenkins(80) and a match winning century from P.Borton(100 Not Out)proved to be pivotal in the final outcome as catches were put down. Nick Gerrish completed an excellent all round performance with figures of (5-27) including a hat trick as the game tilted to give Bradford a possible fight back victory, P.Borton however had the final say guiding Hinton Charterhouse home by two wickets to cap an outstanding all round individual performance.
