Paul Vooght and Ian Pinchen star in five wicket defeat of Malmesbury

Bradford on Avon Cricket Club end season on a high with a moral boosting victory over Malmesbury. Excellent bowling by opening bowler Paul Vooght with figures of 6 for 30 off 12 overs ripped apart the main Malmesbury batsman to leave the visitors reeling at 47 for six by the 13th over. An innings of 58 by  Ward and 38 from tailender Langley lifted the visitors score until Langley was bowled by the returning Paul Vooght.The remaining wickets fell quickly to close the Malmesbury innings at 140. Enter wicket keeper batsman Ian Pinchen to open the Bradford innings who earlier had taken four catches. Pinchen smashed 85 off of only 55 balls to gain the momentum Bradford's way. After a hundred partnership for the second wicket with Harrington, Bradford lost 4 quick wickets, however the calm James Edwards and Maurice Beale led Bradford home in the 29th over for a deserved victory in what was a must win game for the club. Bradford on Avon the victors by five wickets.
