ECB Update

21 May 2020

Hello All,
We hope this finds your safe and well during these testing times!
Firstly, the committee met on Monday (Virtually) to discuss the recent ECB guidance on training. After a lengthy discussion, we have decided to not open up the club facilities and resume training. As a committee we took into consideration the practicalities of providing safe training for our membership, and currently we do not believe it is the right time to resume training, and with that the facilities will remain closed.
However, this is good news, in that the ECB are beginning to provide updates surrounding training and the rest of the season. Rest assured, that as a club we are constantly keeping an eye out for updates from the government and the ECB and will discuss any further updates.
Today, the ECB have released the following video below narrated by the British institution that is Stephen Fry! To watch "The Wait" (which I would highly recommend) click the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d8SL3pl0zE
They have also released information packs for parents with learning resources, fund raising & links for mental health support during this difficult time here https://www.ecb.co.uk/covid-19
Mental health is not really a subject we have not really touched on as club, just remember it is as, if not more important that your physical health. with that said, there are many mental health charities out there, locally we have http://www.wiltshiremind.co.uk, and nationally https://www.mind.org.uk are just examples for those members who are not as local as they once were, but if you need help, please do reach out.
We look forward to seeing you all soon, there will be a quiz next Friday which we will send out a meeting room to, it doesn't cost anything, its just a bit of fun for us a club!
