Over recent months the ECB has been conducting a review of helmet safety measures. There have been several changes applied to the professional game and the ECB has now released a guidance note for recreational Cricket. Please find this guidance note attached. Also attached is a poster that you may wish to display within your club that may help you to raise awareness of this guidance and the new measures

Included within the guidance notes is a link to the new British Safety Standard and the current helmets that meet these new criteria. There is also an important note regarding having adequate public liability insurance in place (ECB Helmet Guidance 2016).
