Bradford on Avon Youth Cricket 2026

Bradford on Avon Cricket Club runs a thriving youth section which now covers school age groups from Reception Year through to Year 10. We believe cricket is a sport for both girls and boys and all abilities. New members are welcome.

The ECB 'All Stars' initiative is the nationwide entry level programme for children in Reception Year to Year 2 and the ECB Dynamos programme which is aimed at children in Years 3 to Year 4 who are growing in confidence through soft ball game play. There is a separate page providing further information on this.

Once players are ready to move on to play hard ball cricket (are cricket confident, possess basic skills and have some match experience) they will be able to join the under 11s (Boys Yr 5 & Girls Yr4) and progress up through the age groups. 

Please note that girls are eligible for their own age group and can play in mixed cricket matches two school years down. For example if you are in year 10 you can play in the under 13s mixed team, Yr 8 can play u11s mixed cricket, etc.

Training:
For 2026, summer training starts on Friday 10th April and runs until Friday 24th July. Note: ECB All Stars and Dynamos programmes run to different dates.

All sessions run on Friday evenings from 6pm - 7:30pm (light dependent). Please aim to arrive 10-15mins early. In the event of bad weather, these sessions will be cancelled via Age Group Whatsapp and on Spond.
